I know my season is upside down from most of you, but I've got cabin fever right now as we're heading out next weekend 
First project will be to get to work on the 24 x 24' screen porch....I got the poles in last spring but it got too hot to do much else..I'll be setting the joists and decking over the next month and I'll keep y'all updated.

Thank you! No, there is no winter here  .....We're in the SoCal desert...think Palm Springs. Without a pool 
Our season is from Oct til May....

Beautiful view! Making progress is exciting, isn't it?
I'm in Texas, still sweating in the 90s, and will be escaping to my land in Oregon in a few weeks where I'll start my cabin next year.
Does it become more temperate where you're at in the winter? I've never been to California. Flying into San Francisco next month will be my first time there!
