I do some electrical work in town but I try to be self sufficient which is like income to me. Grow a lot of food and burn fire wood. I have some farmland I rent out which brings in some added income.

Being off grid does not preclude having a job. I know an engineer who has been off grid for something like 2 decades.

I had a coworker buy property in the mountains around Santa Rosa Ca who lived in a teepee.

For me, I'm looking to eventually move to my cabin. I'll primarily have income from rental properties, but will need to augment income.

As has been pointed out... That could be getting a job in that area, or perhaps generating income from my land.

I'm particularly interested hearing from folks who generate income from their land, or on their land (recognizing that could be be very broad).

In I had 4 sons, two daughters and a wacky mustache... I could make money as a reality tv star. The ideas are endless!!

I have a "real job" that I will soon retire from. How?? I have a hobby job that will soon pay better. What?? I have a Zija business.

Zija is made from the most nutritious plant in the world. Moringa!!! Google it
There's not a better health product in the world. Everybody who tries it buys it. Everyone that buys it, loves it. Then they share it with others. It sells itself. I wouldn't want to go a day without it.

Yes, it's network marketing. No, I don't use forums to sell our product. This is the first time I've ever mentioned it on the internet. This thread appears to be a sincere request for ideas, and I want to share a real opportunity.

Check out this video about Moringa. This is a Discovery Channel documentary. This inspired the creation of Zija.

"Moringa is also used to reduce swelling, increase sex drive (as an aphrodisiac), prevent pregnancy, ..."

Anyone see anything counter-intuitive in this?

"Moringa is sometimes applied directly to the skin as a germ-killer or drying agent (astringent). It is also used topically for treating pockets of infection (abscesses), athlete's foot, dandruff, gum disease (gingivitis), snakebites, warts, and wounds."

"Oil from moringa seeds is used in foods, perfume, and hair care products, and as a machine lubricant."

Brush your teeth with it, shampoo with it, put it on your feet, then go lube your tractor with it.

Just funning with ya Craig. The above is on the net.

Every time I see the drug commercials on TV, I listen for, "side effects include death..." Or, after the commercial there is one that follows that give you the number for a lawyer if you used it.

Hope you do well bud! Make sure your company is an LLC.

I'll bring ya free samples when we go prospecting!! One thing I know, this world is full of miserable online haters of every product known to mankind. If these people were believed, not another thing would sell in the history of the world.

Honestly, it's hard to buy anything. I always research and after reading both sides opinions, I really don't know what to think. It's sad.

For work?
Too funny.

For income?
I go online at the end of the month to see if the check is in

But

In all seriousness, if I were to consider more income, I'd do something like Salty's doing.
No driving
Prolly a bit o' phone/online stuff
Go fishing while the money rolls in.

Salty, I....I....I love you

When I retire to the cabin, I plan on being a stock trader since I have done it for so long. So not quite off grid since I'll need power and internet.

You make me laugh. Thanks for the positive feedback. The product changes lives and I'm making money. I can earn from my boat. What's not to love?

DaveBell, I've tried my hand in the markets...

As long as presidents don't audit the fed, the markets will keep being propped up. Good luck

I do some stock trading but specialize in IPO's and do market and product research but for the most part I enjoy coming up with ways to live better for less and living to tell about it.

We aren't off grid, but we built a 3 unit motel attached to our cabin. It doesn't generate a lot of money but it is enough for us. We've met some really nice people doing this.

Salty,
They are the real thing. The community shipped 30,000 lbs out 2 years ago. Last year that buyer vaporized. We have the facility, the people and the product. If you can find serious market I can hook you up. There are more forest botanicals being planted here...
