well. back at the ranch after a lovely winters travel. time to turn on my systems.
solar. flip a switch. check. heat. turn on 3 gas heaters. heater in the washroom takes awhile to get the gas flowing as usual but eventually starts. check. water. plug in the pipes. added sharkfit fittings to the washroom pex pipes to make things easier. heck ya. that was easy. hot water is running. check. no worries. nothing unusual to report.
so time for spring chores.
#1. equalize the batteries. It's been 3 months since I equalized. I've not been using my 720 lbs of lead much for that time. So it was time for a good bubble. Checked the water levels first. Low but not bad. Filled them up.
Hit the equalize button on both my controllers.
Done. Next day pleased to report the overnight voltage drop reads .2 volts higher.
Well. that's one chore done.
What's next? Back to building the tractor shed I suppose.

Waiting for mud season to end. Hopefully soon since snow cover was minimal. After that, want to fire up the chainsaw and take down some leaning lumber.
Oh, and all the above, too.

Time to power wash the Kubota, then wax it... then fully grease all the fittings. Then grease all the implements too.

Backhoe weekend in WV. Got to get the driveway re-routed and widened so I can put down some of that crusher run gravel.

I also own a Kubota and want to grease all the fittings. Can anyone tell me which Lubricants and grease I should go for?

MichaelMacias... i called my Kubota dealer and asked about the grease... they said it was just standard grease, no fancy additives. Picked up a grease gun at Lowes, with plenty of extra grease.
My problem is that the grease gun goes on to the fitting easily, but does not come off so easy.
I do wish Kubota had a checklist of all the locations where grease needs to go. Some are pretty well hidden.

For my massey I checked the manual and then counted all the fittings. So now I know, FEL, 12, backhoe 10, etc. That way when I'm doing the greasing I just keep at it until the number hits the right amount.
I have one trouble fitting. That sucker just doesn't want to take grease. I have to have the fel in just the right spot. Ah well. Worth every moment when you need to unload 500 lbs from the back of the truck and it takes 5 minutes with no back strain  .
I also buy my grease when it's on sale. I have 5 tubes of the "good stuff" bought at TSC when it was on 1/2 price.
Speaking of which. It's 300 hrs since my last transmission oil change. Time to get on that.

Wait you do maintenance on a tractor?? NO WAY!!!
Wait SPRING CHORES?!?!?! Hell it's going to be 100 this weekend and I'll be putting a metal roof on my hunting shack, what the hell am I thinking. At least it's not polished copper!
