Some newer designs seem perfect for land that normally wouldn't be a choice building spot.

This one below seems to be a great example of one. What's interesting is that there are many spots that people would never consider building on. So the land might be dirt cheap.

Nice stonework.
Helicopter access, I wonder how they got all that concrete in?

My guess would be barge or landing craft. Someone up here with a coastal lot was building high on the hillside and used a barge and a helicopter to get materials to the location. He spent a lot of time on logistics to keep an already expensive project from getting out of hand as both those vehicles are expensive to hire.

Salesman BS to rent. You can bet money they did not use a helicopter to bring in all the construction material. I bet they brought it in by boat. yep, the father one goes from the asphalt jungle, the cheaper the land becomes. This site is proof that you can build like they did 150 - 200 years, by using local products, which cost nothing but a little sweat and some common sense. It has amazed me in my 45 years of life after an education that very few people can envision the end product of a parcel of property or the look of a building. That's why they continue to live in the asphalt jungle and not in a small cabin in a remote part of the world.
