OK, as many of you know, I like the US forest service looks, ie colors, signage plus the state parks looks in signage also. I found a great sign making stencil kit in "State Parks" fonts.
Comes in 2 sizes.

I ordered them both (large and smaller font sizes), plus the correct bits even. They are from Rockler, but bought them via amazon.

I also picked up the Makita compact plunge router which is required for the stencil kit (plunge is required, but can be a 1/2 full size too)

Large State Park Fonts Stencil
https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00ASYDHUI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Smaller Fonts in State Park:
https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00ASYDI7K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The bits for the stencil:

5/8" for larger sencil (1/4" shank)
https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00EZOV3Q2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And 3/8" bit for smaller stencil:
https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00EZOMXY8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the small trimmer router with trimmer and plung base, best price around:

https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00HAQMHEO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There is an instant discount from mfg on this router right now. It is $10 off

Here is the Rockler link. They have a sign wizard as some stencils are 2 parts

This is the sign making wizard.

I know others in here were interested in signage based on earlier questions. My router shows up tomorrow, rest early next week. I will make some signage, get them all painted up and post a few pictures of them.

Haha, what Wilbour said!

I'll need a sign that says either "Pinecone Cabin" or "Mistake By-the-Lake." Time will tell.

Have fun with your new project!

Julie, you get settled in, I will make you a sign and ship it to you. Let me know what the final name will be.

Hopefully, it wont be "Mistake By The Lake".

Wilbour, discount valid for Toyotas owners. Use "TOY10 for promotional code upon checkout.

Ok, just a free handed one for fire conditions and 2 new site markers. I posted it in my project thread, but will add it here as this thread applies too.

I did not use my new "Park Fonts" yet, it hasnt come in yet, did this freehand. Probably my last freehand sign.

OK, made loads of more signs, my place looks like a park or USFS land now. I have the Rockler "PARK FONT" stencil kit in the 2 1/4" and 3 1/2" sizes. I see they just came up with a smaller version, ie 1 1/4" or so, so I will get that one. I use a Makita plunge base router, added the bushing guide and it works perfect.

To see the signs in my project thread called "My Project", page 6, the latest. I will have more. Right now, I am working on a solid wood one 1.5 inches thick, 4 feet wide, 3 feet tall, will be out by county road and be a "Fire Danger" sign with the little meter like the small one at my place. It will be on 2 post facing country road, have a canopy or cover on it, and will be lit up with solar LED lights that come on automatically at night. I am building it now, install it in spring or 2017. I will post pictures of this one. Its going to be something else.

I have my sign making so refined, I am so much quicker at it now and the finished product is so much nicer.

Julie, when you are ready, my offer stands, I will build you a sign and UPS it to you. Just give it thought, when you get a final idea, holler. Email me at my username here in this forum at yahoo dot calm

That sounds like a fun hobby. Could turn profitable down the road, if you'd like to do that. Lights, even! LOL!

Thanks for your kindness! I'll spend some time out there and let you know. I'm leaning toward a name with "Aspen" in it since there are aspens on the property and they'll put on quite the display for me every fall. But we'll see what feels right!

And off we go in just hours now! If all goes to plan, I'll be an Oregonian Sunday night.

Aspen Grove?

You must have water near the surface then, well drilling should be easy then.

The Aspens are nice in the summer breeze and the winds blow the leaves, they flutter and change colors as they flip over to the lighter green underside. Hence the name "quaking aspens". I love apsens, have none on my place. But they are in the area.

Aspen Grove?

Aspen Haven

Aspen Valley

Aspen Retreat?

Aspen Glen?

Julies Aspen Grove...

Just bouncing a few off of you.

I think I like Aspen Grove! I'll know for sure after I hang out with them for a bit! Thanks, Toyota!

An add -- found a mention of the abundance of aspens in my location. Looks like I'm arriving in plenty of time to see the annual show!

Hey, for the right $$$, anything is doable. This is the latest one I did, its on the county road near my place. Its 3X4 feet (glued and laminated 2X12).

I know I could make decent $$$ doing this after I retire. Be fun, keep busy etc.

Nice signs!

The font style sure makes a huge difference depending on the useable.

I just noticed a few weeks back in Jasper National Park they seem to be replacing the brown and yellow signs with green and white. In don't care for the change.
