Its another chilling winter ahead..So to work out is very difficult since the weather conditions can be drastic and severe. In order to handle this situation effectively it’s better to look at some of these ideas. To plant the trees and other herbs outside see that you shovel the snow properly, you must wear shoes, good winter dress, and follow other precautionary steps to keep up your energy. To know more about this you can check out some of these tips from this blog which I read recently. Here is the link to it http://infinitygardens.ca/blog/11-essential-safety-tips-for-proper-snow-removal/ .I hope you find it useful and have a good winter.

Hmmm... smells a tad Spamish without the fried onions. Didn't click the link and won't...

Even with that being said, DO TAKE CARE this winter and don't go getting carried away and giving yourselves any heart attacks etc... It's just snow, not worth risking life and limb rushing and over doing it. Says the guy who spent 4-1/2 hours snow blowing yesterday topped with almost 2 hours of shovelling to boot.

Best advice from the cardiologist - wait ONE HOUR after eating before you shovel (or do anything strenuous). It makes it easier on your heart.

Yesterday and Today were a complete white out at our place. The wind stopped blowing tonight. We have lots of dry wood so stayed inside , read a bit had a nap I have a tractor and blower, so tomorrow will be a clean up day. If you don't really have to get out, wait till the storm is done blowing. We have no shrubs and trees close to walks, so I can do almost all clean up with the tractor. Plan where your landscaping is ahead of time, will make your life easier later. Enjoy the winter, and be smart. old243

@ Gary, indeed the fire is going ! Besides it provides a good excuse to take a break - gotta toss on another log (and as byproduct warm up too). Been wearing Maggies snowmobile jacket ( rated to -70) and holy cow I get a real serious sweat worked up in that. That's good for the skin, right.... LOL Shhhh don't let her know ! <she lurks the forum occasionally>

Well, we are expecting a near foot today and more overnight, up to another 6-12" possible plus blowing fluff to make it interesting... Given that it was -29C (-20F) this morning when I got up and it is still there... I suppose I'll see what happens... Tomorrow at least looks like -9C (+15F) which is darn near balmy !

Don't forget to take the time to sit back and enjoy the beauty of it all. A fresh blanket of white snow makes everything look so beautiful! This is the first year in many that we will not be at our cabin for Christmas as I have to work but it is looking like a white Christmas in south western Ontario and I am looking forward to it! My daughter lives on her own now and my son is away at college but both will be home for the holidays so it will be special!
We live in an area where we get cold weather and snow so I like to embrace it and make the most of it. Winter is truly a season to embrace and enjoy!
