Been a while since I posted any progress updates. I had back surgery in January and am now just feeling slightly back to normal. But finishing up the bathroom....got all the chinking done, shower base in and yesterday got the window trimmed out!

PS... WHY doesn't this site like iPad photos? Sigh

Just type S bag mortar. After 2 years, it's held up flawlessly.

iPads and iphones will only show the photo upright if the photo is taken with the return button on the right. The program assumes that is correct orientation. Why, I don't know. But you can fix it. Go into photo edit, and even if there the photo appears upright, flip it around clockwise or counterclockwise and end up with the photo correctly oriented. But, you must save the photo once in an incorrect orientation, then move it again to the correct one, and save again. Why, I don't know.

But anyway if you always take pics with the button on the right they will come out fine. Only need to fiddle with it if you take it in a different position.

Oops didn't work
Taken with button down, no reorientation
Taken with button down, no reorientation
Taken in same position, reoriented
Taken in same position, reoriented

It's not letting me orient it correctly. I rotated and saved it 90 degrees each and still wouldn't cooperate. I'll keep trying.

End up with it oriented correctly in photo edit and save.

FYI, the same problem exists when taking pics with my Android phone, so it's not just Apple products.

DaveBell- standard glass block, set in mortar.

I'm glad no one has yet commented on my toenail fungus.

I like those glass blocks from a security and insulation standpoint. A piece rebar painted white mounted in the wall in front of each mortar line. Inside the wall bracket the rebar to the studs. I've been trying to come up with secure solution for the IRC glazing requirement.

@Wilbour, I get a secondary window pop up with the images. I'm using Win-10/64 & MS Edge and it has pop-ups blocked.

Is it true log and chinking or a faux look of log and chinking?

It's the real deal. Built in 1871. Not fun, but worth saving.
