Looking for product recommendations to get rid of roof moss. Spray on and leave it type stuff. I think I can get a few more years out of my roof but have to get rid of the moss. Also, is there an ideal temperature to do it in/or not to do it in?

Thanks!!

I use bleach and water to get rid of moss on my camper. I just spray it on with a garden sprayer.

We once installed rolled zinc flashing along the peak.

Bleach diluted a bit with water breaks it lose right away, zinc at ridge keeps it away, also granular ferrous sulfate from tractor supply, sprinkle it on, wet it down, watch moss go from green to black and then fall off.
That ferrous sulfate also comes in powdered, just as effective, just spreading it create a cloud.

Bleach/water in a spray bottle. Soak it, wait a day, then scrub it off. PITA!

Putting a new roof on and will definitely use the zinc strips. Take a look around any chimney and no moss. This is likely due to the zinc flashing. TMT - gotta try the ferrous sulfate thing - thanks for the tip.

It comes in 50lb bags, maybe 10-15$ or so, use the extra to get rid of moss in your lawn.

I spray white vinegar on it. Kills it and is not bad for the enviroment
