I have always cut through most of the way in many locations, then roll log and finish the rest, all on the ground, but I do like the timber jack and may get one or even build one.

Boy 436 views on my video. I've gone viral! Either the pal I emailed it to passed it on (which I doubt) or there are a lot of lurkers here.

Must be 437 now - just watched it. That saw sounds like it's running a bit lean. Grab the screwdriver and richen it up at the top end a bit!

My two friends who brought over their WoodMizer and milled up a bunch of redwood I donated for their fences and gates did a bang up job of cleaning up afterwards. Milling creates a lot of slash. They were bucking the longer stuff when I drug over the jig I made out of pallets (previous page). I left them alone but could see they were using it.
So today one of them surprised me and dropped off this premium version. He was so happy with it he made one for himself, and one for me. Much nicer as the narrower V hold the wood better and the cross braces are lower down so the saw won't hit after the cut. It's so nice I almost don't want to use it!

That is very nice. That’s a project on my list to make but it won’t be so beautiful as that one
