Crazy! We are at 9,500' just east of the continental divide in southern Colorado and the snow is rapidly melting. Not that we had much anyway... last year over 5' on the ground this time and I have no idea the full season accumulation. I do know we were stuck here because the Alamosa river wouldn't contain the run off. That was the beginning of June I think.

We are a mile off the FS road so have been snowmobiling in and out. Gone since the middle of January but sure didn't expect so little snow when we came up a week ago. We had bare patches in our rocky road... big rock rocky... some 10' -20'. It snowed about 4" yesterday, heavy wet snow so I ran the machine down this morning for a town trip.... decided to stay put for another week or ten days, wife canceled her flight week from Monday.... the snow packed down good. The skags were hitting here and there but the skis were riding on the snow. I worry way more about tearing the plastic skis up, skags can be replaced. We came back from town about 4pm and I swear there was less snow on the trail/road up to the cabin than there was 2 days ago when we walked it!

So parked the machine... gotta go get my old tirescandvgetbthe track off the ground.... but unless it really snows a bunch, I'm not taking it down th he road again. Caretakers have tracked quad and the said they would take the stuff out when we are ready to leave.... crap, wanted to snowmobile a bit while we were up here.

Still have 80 inches on the ground. It should be gone by June.

Just a little bit North of Nobadays. North facing slopes still have calf high snow on them. Roads here are maintained. So we only have a 200 yd walk in. Nights are about 22-28. Days 35-42. Even in the shaded ares, the snow is melting. The deck is clear of snow. Even thought of putting up the umbrella. Can hardly wait to drive up and unload fishing gear. Dang, I am anxious.

Not counting on winter being over yet but the next storm moving in later in the week doesn't look promising either. Wolf Creek pass ski area only has 36" at the base and a year total of 56".... I was kind of hoping the Divide had a bit more. Well the positive side is we will likely move up here for the summer in April instead of mid/late May.

Nobadays, Notice you have parked your ski-doo , for the summer. I have had problems with mice, etc , chewing my wiring. and nesting. Have put a healthy dose of moth balls, in around wiring, seemed to help. old243

Thanks! Good idea... I have some satchels from Tractor Supply that seem to work well for my vehicles.... I'll throw one of those under the hood.
