So bouncing the idea of a 20x24 or a 24x24 cabin. Location will be on Sustina Lake Alaska. Looking to just put in the Footers and floor this summer.
Looking for a List of materials that I would need for the floor. Anyone have any cabin build plans?

Thank you

Tony, I bought some online, nice folks, was Town and Country Plans. If you have a set of plans, you can take it to a lumber store and they can get you a list of materials and a cost and in my case, they even delivered all the lumber. Mine is the "Whitehorse", I did do a steeper pitch roof and upgraded all walls for 2X6.

TMT.... Nice resource! Those are pretty nice little cabins and the price for the plans is very reasonable. I downloaded their free 10x16 cabin plan, very complete... has already answered some questions I had about the floor joist and girder/rim joist.

I used them, bought 3 sets of prints, I used some white out to make small adjustments, nothing structural, moved a window, door wider, open other direction etc, so it was snap and a good base starting point. Plans comes with all sections, cross section, elevations, floor plan and foundation. Their foundations are full footer/stem walls, but many build post and beam. Scroll beneath each ones, those who built submited pictures, some flipped them (mirror image) added more dormers etc. Mine is listed for the Whitehorse.

Yeah Are there any Alaska guys that have built up here. None of those plans seem to be what I envision

AKLTZ, a buddy has a place on Susitna Lake. His place is about 15 in elevation above the lake. Mostly sand for soil condition. Existing 16 x 20 cabin built on pier blocks when he bought.

The cabin was out of level as pier blocks had settled. We re-leveled the first year and then built concrete pads to support the house.

Pads were 4'×4' reinforced 18" thick. CMU blocks above the pads. Pressure treated 4x12 beams above the CMU blocks. Can't remember what size the joists were as they were existing.

Floor was pretty solid tho after.

All in all a good solution.

For those not familier with Susitna Lake, the only access is float plane, boat or snogo.
