I went to my lot this weekend. I brought up my trusses and my posts and beams. It only took 3hrs to put the posts and beams in. Laser levels are amazing

Right on rock too, no frost heaving there, you couldnt ask for a better footing.
I just picked up a self leveling Skil laser, this does a full prerimiter, plus a vertical line if I needed it and I picked up a story pole too with a level. I am setting footers in place end of this month for a 12X16 park shelter and want them all level too. Not as critical as yours, I can vary on my height, but want them all even anyway.

How did you do your footings? Our process will have to be about the same as we are on good old Canadian Shield bedrock as well.

I drilled into the rock and epoxied 2 pieces of rebar.
I then made plywood boxes,laid out and marked on the rock exactly where they were going.
I then leveled the boxes and put more plywood to hold and level the sides and keep any cement from coming out.
I then cut and tie wrapped mesh onto the rebar to reinforce the cement.
Then I cut plywood strips attached it to the top of the boxes and drilled a holes to hold the anchor bolts and tie wrapped the anchor bolts to the mesh.
Then I poured the cement and removed the forms after 24hrs.

Geez you went all out on the cement and all. You prob could have epoxied in a stud and bolted on a post anchor. I dont think the concrete pads are really doing much..I guess if the concrete spans a crack in the rock.

There was a few other camps built on the lake by a contractor and spoke with him and they were all done to an engineered specs so I just copied what they had done.

Very good! I am likely a few years away from advancing to this stage but that is what I am expecting to have to go through as we can not dig down deep enough for regular posts.
Keep the progress going and more pics!
