A little off-topic. I wondered about the possibility/feasibility of renting a rock crusher to make my own gravel using the over-abundance of rock on my property.
Now we are talking! I am guessing renting a machine like this might cost more than my property did.

Stone crushing plant can be used to produce aggregate and artificial sand by hard limestone, granite, basalt, pebble, metallurgical slag, etc.It is widely used in hydroelectric station, building materials, highway, railway, urban construction, etc.

Intresting idea... I have lots of rock too! But it looks like its costly and requires lots of power!

I bought one on Ebay (very small) . Can crush rocks the size of your fist roughly. I paid 325 pluss shipping. I need to add a one hp motor to it. I have tried it just turning the flywheel by hand and it crushes limestone very easy. They guys that makes them is in Oregon and he puts one up ebay now and then. I think he might be retired. His company was called Golden something...
Anyways I looked for ever for something and this was the only alternative I could find
