Is there any free basic design software online that a member would like to share? I have seen a few people have mini designs here and i was wondering where i could some free software.

Sketchup (sketchup.google.com) is great for 3d design. Not so good for actual building plans, although some people use it for that too.

search for "envisioneer express".
much easier to use than sketchup for 2-D floor plans.
i downloaded version 4.5 for free more than a year ago.
there may be a newer version available now.
works fine though the accompanying furniture is somewhat limited.

Not to hijack this thread, but anyone knw of a free mapping software? Just wanted to map the property around my cabin.
