Off-Grid Living in a Small Cabin
Generally, the term "off the grid" or "off-grid lining" refers to living in a self-sufficient manner without reliance on one or more public utilities.
Off-grid households are autonomous – they not rely on municipal water supply, sewer, natural gas, electrical power grid or similar utility services. A true "off the grid" cabin is able to provide life-nessesary functions completely independently of all traditional public utility services.
There are people producing their own electricity, water supply and heating all over the world. They live in the middle of large cities, in the middle of vast wilderness, and in points between.
