Hey guys
I stumbled on the forum today, my name is Derek and I am a big solar, generator, off road truck guy. Wanted to introduce myself.
I am in the process of getting my side business going which is manufacturing a kit to make a portable DC generator. You can check out my website www.affordabledcgenerators.com
Basically mates a Honda GC160 engine to an AC Delco alternator giving you roughly 1700 watts of power for under $600 fully assembled. Since this is an off the shelf alternator, you can go 6 to 48v and be as simple as a one wire hookup all the way to an externally regulated unit if you have something other then SLA batteries.
I needed a DC generator but was shocked at some of the pricing on the portable units, so I built one. Check out the webpage, subscribe to my YouTube channel. I'm starting to build out content every few weeks.
