-30 when I hit the hay. 3500/4000 watt champion generator with 2 space heaters kept it comfortable.

Was at our camp last weekend (NB - Canada) and thought -15 f was bad but -30 -yowza! Got it to at least 70 inside after several hours on Friday with the wood stove only. Kept good heat at night with a 3:00AM loading. Once walls and furniture warmed up the place was pretty livable.

After 60 odd years here, I have been considering leaving the northern California coast (along with a slew of other natives for reasons better left unsaid) but man, depending on where one puts weather on their list of priorities, there can be few places to go with finer weather. A few 30 degree winter nights, a few 100 degree summer days but generally pleasant, with a nice ocean breeze.

We've had record rain this year, I've been swearing all winter I'd never move anyplace with more cold/rain/snow, ie north. Yesterday was a complete turnaround. Not a cloud in the sky, I was working outside in a black Tshirt and sweating. Swore I'd never move anyplace hotter. A bit of a shame to have to consider relocating at this point in life.
