Thank you Cabinbuilder!!!
There is definitly quite a lot more to building a rural cabin than i thought. I would like to use passive heating so im going to have alot of south facing windows. I have no electric so im going to have to use a battery bank some solar and maybe a windmill , havent decided whether to dig septic or use a compost toilet. going to use a woodburner for heat also. And i have to fit this all in a 16x24 cabin.
I now have a camper on location and its 2 hrs away from home.
and 1.5 miles from the nearest blacktop road. I will try to post some pics.

Holes dug 4 ' deep . 1 bag of cement in bottom of each hole for pole to sit on . After poles set in correct position, filled rest of hole with soil.

Progress may be slow.. I only get there once a week
and usually doing the work by myself.. makes for slow progress
But it is progress none the less. Grass quit growing so I have a little more time to work on cabin. will have to do some leaf cleanup though.

That's pretty good working by yourself. I know that always slows me down. Most of our project has been my brother and I working together.

Looking forward to seeing this progress.

Impressed you set the poles by yourself. This is hard work. Looking forward to additional progress reports.

Yeah Shotgun, good job! It looks like you're at about the same stage I am. It is really hard workin' by one's self, but there is also a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes with it. And when you're all done, you'll be able to look back and say "I did that!".

What are you gonna use for flooring and interior walls if i may ask?

Cheers, Borrego
