I thought I'd start a thread for people to post links to or photos of old, old cabins and cottages. Since they're slowly disappearing, it would be neat to be able to look back at former designs, styles, interior decorations etc. At a minimum they might serve as inspiration and a source for design and feature ideas.
i.e. Outside Jasper, Alberta (in Jasper National Park) there were a number of old luxury private cabins around Lake Edith. Over the years I've noticed that many quite interestingly designed places have been replaced by new grander cottages. The old character homes are disappearing. I wish now I'd taken a lot of pictures of them for ideas for a future cottage. With our society's low tolerance for anything old, I imagine this is happening everywhere.
