Can something like this be made livable? It's a carport frame that's been enclosed around a wood frame. Can it be finished inside and made into a studio type structure?

Yes, with some effort with insulation and ventilation, but I doubt you could do it legally. It probably wouldn't meet structural requirements so I don't think any building department would permit it as a living space. Would the neighbors care enough to call in a complaint?

The land that this would be built on is restricted Indian land in Oklahoma which means that building and or structural codes aren't applicable. I have setting in place and thought about placing an RV there but am now considering something like this.

I have a friend who has one of these buildings...much larger for shop & he had a company come in had it spray foamed the inside...he has a nice window AC unit and it keeps the whole place so cool....like a giant cooler..and his small propane heater he heats it in the winter...glad you live in the land of NO PERMITS....enjoy your build!!!
ps--I allegedly have to get permits...I have built 3 cabins withOUT them...I go UNDER the radar. Out of sight out of mind...in the woods.

I's spray foam the inside or it will sweat. Add a window for ingress/egress. (wide enough for an adult to climb out and bottom of window no higher than 36" from floor) get all wiring in place for anything and everything you will want before spray foaming it. That could be made into a very comfortable space once its spray foamed.

Thanks guys. This is encouraging. I had originally thought about a traditional cabin but then thought this may be more aligned with my budget.

I would say absolutely you could. You could finish the inside just like any other cabin. Keep us posted on your build.
