hello everyone.i have missed everyone.
we got a big load of free siding and it s very nice.40$ a sheet.A friend was getting rid of alot cause he had to move.
He loaded us up with all kinds of goodies. a fire wood metal bucket,a dinner bell he made for us for our woods out of a fire extingquisher, and lots of good wood and a couple of cast iron dutch ovens.
we were not going to go this labor day weekend but my mister just sprang it on us we will be heading down to the property after all on friday morning.
Our main goals i am told are to sheath the walls and get the windows in he made.
I think we may have our kitchen sooner than soon. I will bring back pics when we come back.hugs!

We are back home.whew.We sure worked so hard.Well, that first nite there we were tired after the 5 hour drive but once we get there-we get all perked up once again.
Then the next day we worked so hard that when in bed we had cramping legs and hurts and wounds and oh man.Thank the lord for painkillers and muscle relaxants!
So heres some pictures. We are doing this building of the kitchen in add ons.First there was the center cube, and then this kick out and next another kickout which will include a good sized pantry and the door .I can not tell u how excited i am to not have to use our summer kitchen in the winter ever again.Next we go down and put shakes on the siding. The siding we used was free.A friend was moving. Also gonna do some finish work on the inside shelving to make it look nicer.

sure is fun to get a kitchen i like.old fashioned and cute.i m going to use an metal dishpan for a sink.Eventually we will add on more so i can have more counter space.and maybe a spot for a kitchen table and chairs.i have always liked a booth with a table.sort of cozy i feel.
saw squirrels and some are so huge .thats next is squirel hunting.

Hi cabingal3...Your kitchen is coming along great. Nice to have friends who give things to you free too. *S* I really like that you have put the windows high up. It will let lots of light in without using up valuable wall space lower down. Keep the pictures coming. I can't wait to see the finished kitchen!!!

Hello everyone.we are back from the woods.we left friday nite .Had snow up in the mts and clean into chemult.then toward our place there was none.We had sun, hail and some rain. Not much.Gar kept thinking he forgot something.hee hee.it was the air compressor. So we had to make a run to Kalamth falls.I always love going there.i cannt wait for us to live out at the property and be able to shop there.
He went in and got a nice compressor ,and i stayed in the jeep to knit.
we did two days work in one.we put on more OSB and then covered the whole outside kitchen with ty-vek and then put on all our shakes.well,we had enough to almost finish.I laid my carpeting mats i got in the kitchen in a pleasing pattern. The kitchen was so much warmer then.We were so happy too-to pull up and see the metal man had been to our place and hauled away a truck filled with metal.that thing is gone!whee.so here are some photos of all our work.
Next! a room on the front-to put our wood stove in! we sure enjoyed our time away .hope u did too.
