Mother nature always wins. This winter has been the best winter I have every live in but the last 3 winters where record breakers. I feel for those that live down south where the bad weather hit this past week. Last spring I seen thousands of homes that floods took and it was very destructive to family and live. Mother nature always wins.

The past few years have reminded me how powerful Mother Nature really is. I follow the weather closely and always feel for those areas being affected. I hope you all are safe.

Here in the Northeast, we've certainly had our moments over the last three years that have left their mark on our psyche, landscape, and wallets. Two years ago we had 18 inches of rain in March, as opposed to the usual 4 inches that month. My basement was flooded for days and it was just awful. Last summer, we were devastated by Hurricane Irene. Last winter was brutal here, both with snowfall and cold. I shoveled my roof 4 separate times last winter. Conversely, this winter has been warm with December, January and February all roughly 5 degrees above normal. I haven't used my snow blower once and have only shoveled one time (after we got 2 feet of snow in October...again, random and devastating).

The weather of our planet is changing and changing quickly. Whatever reasons you have to think these changes have occurred are beside the point. These ridiculous weather events are no longer the exception, but the norm. Be safe and best of luck everyone.

I read that one guy had his house destroyed for the second time in 10 months! He has to be the unluckiest person I've ever heard of.

True...extremely unlucky indeed.

Last week was wild weather-wise with many sad stories. Anyone's places affected by the bad weather over the weekend?
