Ditto ravvy it is "freekie".

This was the winter that never was for us in SK. Only a week or two of -30/-40c and less than 50 cm of snow. Most days highs were warmer than -10c and now record double digit plus temps and barely freezing at night.

Last Sunday it was +12C at the shack. Too hot to snowshoe. We saw a few Canada geese flying over which is a month early.

Most people are spooked waiting for winter to arrive. We will likely pay for the nice winter in June.

I have birds starting to nest in our yard, southern ontario!

I'm just concerned that after such a mild winter we might see an explosion in the insect/pest population this summer.

Hate to say it hattie but I had all the windows open today letting the fresh air in!!!!!!! Felt so good...you will be doing that before too much longer too!!!! Really badly wanted to hang my 2 loads of wash on the line but with the 3 grandkids there was no way I could do it! I did go for another walk after they were all picked up and it was wonderful----a great way to unwind after a long day of being grandma!!!

So much snow out there now I might have to hire the neighbour to do our driveways. I think we got about 4 inches overnight.

Molly liked it!

Here in Kentucky the apple and Bradford Pear trees are blooming as well as the Forsynthia Bushes. My tulips are 6-8 inches tall and Daffodils all in bloom. This week my favorite, the Red Bud trees also started blooming and soon the Dogwoods will, too. I'm sure we will have a few more "cold spells" but Spring is for sure in the air. This week we are to hit 83 degrees. I am trying to just enjoy these days and not think of the humid 100+temps that will be here all too soon.

With the last 3 winters as bad as they where it is hard to believe the winter we are having. The bee's are out and I don't think all the robins left for the winter because over a month ago I seen robins where there was heavy tree's. Ice is off the lakes and river flowing just like summer. The geese never did leave my area all winter. I do know that winter is not over till it is over. There is a lot of time for storms and bad weather. The only good thing about that is it will be short lived.

The rivers are all swollen here and flowing rapidly. The dam near our house is open, the birds are happily chirping and we have been sleeping with the windows open the past two nights!!! Love it!!! Even had a sky full of heat lightening Friday night!!!

As I was shovelling yesterday I heard ONE lone goose out in the bush. Poor guy. I'm guessing he's probably flying back south 'bout now.

Been in three states today (SC, NC and TN). SC has every flowering tree brooming; trees with fragile green leaves. NC (asheville, hendersonville) had some redbuds in bloom. NE TN trees have fragile green leaves, forsynthia, and daffodils blooming. The robins are huge!

Went to the cabin this weekend ! Got a sunburn planting sunflowers and playing with my labradors... there were still some piles of snow on the property melting.... So when it got too hot, we played in the snow! 78 degrees and beautiful !

You must be just south of me Bobroc.I could hear the thunder in the distance.I spent saturday pounding fence posts(expanding the pasture)Had to come inside frequently to avoid to much sun. Also got the driveway re-graded out.Filled in the ruts and fixed up nice till the next rainy-muddy spell. You can just see a tinge of green in the woods now.Bugs are coming to life.Sky is full of birds of all kinds.Creek is running clean.Just a nice spring day.
