I know I have been tardy in posting...got a few things done this summer, some projects finished and I am trying to finish things I have started as Jason says "no more projects until the cabin is dry walled!" Here are a few pics of the new shed ( last season) with the new firewood storage addition and all painted up and cleaned up. One of the pics shows the soffits I finally finished on the actual cabin itself (started that project 10 yrs ago!) LOL Now how long will it take to paint those soffits!?

A few things finished this year! Added wood storage onto the side of the shed and finished the porch ceiling and soffits. What a relief that is!

Sustainusfarm, you had started another thread about getting water from your well casing to your cabin. Can you update that thread or share your how your installation has worked for the last couple winters. Maybe some info about for install too. Please.

Or maybe I'll just sit and drink brandy ole fashions all summer...who knows what will happen...Here are a few pics of what we did in 2015...

Sustain - We ran up today to check on our place too. The plow trucks left us a nice high pile at the end of the driveway. New tires, 4 wheel drive and the right amount of gas did get through. I also checked my trail cameras and changed the batteries. The snow wasn't to bad for walking either and it gives you a new perspective on how the animals travel the land. I even found what I believe to be deer beds - melted areas where they were sleeping. I can't wait for spring.

Did the snow crush under your tires or were you able to drive onto of the hard pack??

It crushed. Temps not low enough anymore to support 5000 pounds on top. By the road it was 12 inches deep and crushed to about 4-6. Driveway was less but it crushed too. Not sure what you're driving or how your driveway looks but I would hesitate entering our driveway in a two wheel drive. We haven't been up since before Christmas so our driveway was untouched. If you or a neighbor has cleared yours since the first heavy snow....maybe it won't be bad.

Hi,
I am new here, been doing alot of reading and research.
My family owned a few acres in Adams county WI since 1984, not far from you I assume, my parents are older now and have placed the property up for sale. My wife and I are interested in buying property of our own in the area, but just looking at the moment and dreaming.
Hope all is well with you.
