Im setting up my eccotemp L7 shower and wondering what size solar panel and battery to use... This will be stand alone, my pump draws 4.4 amps 12volts...The pump will run max 1 hour per day, weekend use mostly and sometimes I will be there a week at a time.. any suggestions?

what other 12 volt items Might you be using along with the pump."lights"?
if you "use" 4.4 amps daily you need to replace it or run the battery down.not good for any Battery.100 watt (aprox. 6Amps)+/- or better is my (2 cents) since there will be cloudy days & depending on angle the the sun.

4.4a x 12v is 53 watts
easy no problem for a car battery
your car battery can run 2 55watt headlights plus taillights and the marker lights for an hour 53 watts is no problem.
so get a 50w panel and the car battery recharges in 1 hour on a bright sunny day or longer on overcast days
and if cloudy days jumper it to your car and let it charge from your engine.

While you are at it, might add a 12 volt car or RV stereo so you can have a little news/music... Look at power rating (non audio wattage); many consume very little power  We have a Horrible Freight 45 watt panel with 70 amp-hour battery that runs our CF lights, stereo and shower pump.

i was going to run just the pump but i guess a small light for the outhouse since its attached to the shower would be a good idea
