Hello everyone!

I have been working on our cabin project in the Mauricie, Québec for the past 10 yrs. That included building the road, preparing the ground, making plan, learning how to build a simple log cabin and getting it done on our lake front property located 4hrs from our home. This website has been not only a source of inspiration, but also a great source of encouragement during the past years. When I felt overwhelmed with all that remained to be done, I came here to look at your projects and felt energized, not alone and not so crazy after all.... Our place is great for fishing, hunting, biking, canoeing and for mushroom and blue berry picking. No need to say that we are having good time there with the kids without electricity, phone or internet....

Here is where we stand as of the end of summer 2013...

What a great cabin !!! We have property in Kazabazua Que. in the Outaouais !! My family is originally from St. George's de Beauce . There is no where more beautiful on this planet than Quebec !!

This is absolutely beautiful!!! Your location looks lovely too! Congratulations. I hope you get decades and decades of fun from this wonderful cabin.
I'd love to inside pictures if you have any.

It does look nice. Both your cabin and the location. I love the red with white and grills in the windows.
