I am looking for 55 gal. plastic barrels to collect rain water. I live in London, Ontario. Does anyone have a lead other than Lee Valley. I want good & cheap.?

www.craigslist.com ?? Rual King has them by me for under $10 a barrel for the blue plastic ones. I don't think they are in canada.

Try a garden centre. They often have recycled barrels from the food industry that can be modified for rain barrels. Ours cost $20 Cdn. Bright blue in colour but they have worked great for 10 years with no sign of disintegrating.

grantree; I live near port dover and work in London quite often I have seen many blue plastic barrels for sale in my travels, if you can instal the tap and the double screen for mosquitoes I'm sure they are cheep I will stop and ask price next time I pass

If anyone is in the ottawa area Cohen & Cohen has lots of recycled food-industry barrels at amazing prices. Just google them.

Check with your nearest soft drink bottler. Ours sells empty 55 gallon plastic drums for $10 each.
