Hi all, new to these forums and have a question about a cabin I am thinking of building on some lakeshore land I own. I'm thinking of a 16x32 size with about 6 feet of the length being the front deck. My plan for footings was gravel filled holes with post support piers on top. Was thinking I'd need 15 piers. Then using 2x6 treated material for entire floor. Would this be a problem with an area this size? Should I use 2x8? Just want to make sure the 2x6's can handle the weight of the walls, roof, etc. thanks
