First I added 200 watts to my system from 400 to 600 watts at 30 amps which has clearly been a plus as batteries are always fully charged even in late fall where last season at this time I was supplimenting with the generator starting on Nov 17 through the winter every three to four days, looks like that will not be happening this season....YAY!
Cabin is much easier to heat as the cold unused wood stove is gone and now the cat sleeps where the stove sat!
No more exhaust fan for the cat box, found some great pine wood chips at Tractor Supply that eliminate odors for a week before you need to change.
It's rewarding to keep records and set goals and invigorating when things work out....looks like its time to reach a bit higher....am thinking electric car and solar charging is no longer out of reach.....time will tell.

Any reason you picked the system you did? sounds like you are happy with it.
Where are you located? You removed the wood stove. Heating with?
I have been lurking at the solar sites. I don't have much to power. But, it is a little intimidating sometimes.

Best advice, keep it simple....know your power requirements and have good solar exposure.
Throw away the physics books and how too manuals with a touch of common sense for good measure.
If all else fails just do a search on this site for previous posts.

I need to take my solar down in the winter. Way to much snow in the Tug Hill to keep off the panel. I take my two bridged 6 volts home so they don't freeze. It works from April til Nov. tho. LOL

One thing I failed to mention that has made my solar work so well is the panels are on a ground based rack which allows angle changes but most of all easy cleaning and upkeep whenever needed.

I found this key to my very small system as well. This spring I will be doubling my system only because I am increasing my loads. But for the most part, so true to keep your system simple. If you don't have high loads and you are only using the cabin on weekends, you do not need 5 days of reserve.
