Been cleaning up around the cabin today. I've never used this smoker, should probably try it or pass it on before it rots away. What can it do that I can't do on a propane BBQ or Webber kettle?

Ha! I have 3 smokers and no 'Weber' anymore.....Im thinking asking about saving a smoker to a smoker addict is like asking a biker if you should sell all your bikes? Current rigs: A big 'Egg' style charcoal A cheap old Brinkman 'bullet' charcoal model (my starter unit I learned on) An elec version of the above (handy for smaller smoke jobs in the heat of summer) And a mid-sized elec grill because I got tired of the propane grills rotting out burners. Just 10 min. of warmup and its ready to go. This is my second elec version, I killed the first forgetting to unplug it while on high for a day or so. I Really missed it, took a while to find another. The bigger issue was I seem to be among those who can taste LP in food cooked on a gas grill To yours, It looks pretty rough. And the size doesnt look to have any more of an indirect grill area than a big Weber would if set up right. Small smokers have issues with not enough charcoal area to get a long burn, so no advantage over a kettle either. Might make a decent big bread-box? Tool box for the garden?

You could add a $9 hot plate and a $6 cast iron pan and have an "electric" smoker to add to the collection. Probably won't get crazy hot but good for colder smokes like side dishes, cheeses or fish.
Maybe a warming/holding box? Or just clean it up and use it to store tinfoil, BBQ tools, etc out of the rain?

I personally would build a fire box onto the left side of it and make an offset smoker setup. I bet that would work real nice. If you were closer i'd offer to take it off your hands for ya, would make a nice little cabin smoker.

I'm thinking mailbox..
The chimney pipe is interesting, almost like you could pipe outside and use it indoors.
