Granted this isn’t at my cabin but I want to share it anyway, I might make another for my cabin. I cut an old well tank in half and fitted it with a gas element kit. I didn’t want a gas hose running across the deck so I ran it under the deck and flush mounted a boat gas filler so that the hose can drop down below deck if I want to take the fire pit away. It’s been great with the natural fire look without the smoke and danger of sparks and embers on my deck. I still need to clean the tank up a bit and paint it.

If it was galvanized you need to burn that off and NOT breath the poison fumes.
We have a cast iron chimera; sitting out on the deck with the glow is nice
