My beautiful wife n me took our grandson out salmon fishing the other day. Little late on the run but still a great day. We were fishing a river that her grandparents homesteaded in the 40s-50s. And a river my beautiful wife fished as a child many times.
And I've fished for over 45 years. But that river, the same. Got to wade across a new channel cut to get out to the main current. And he got a kick out of kicking the dead salmon on the beach back into the river, throwing rocks. And fishing
Hopefully get him n his mama out to the cabin with me n Nana for some moose hunting. He's 8 so carries his pellet rifle. He's taking archery lessons now so hopefully I'll be able to take him out archery hunting.
With the way society is these days. And not having the access to the outdoors like it was 60 years ago. Sure glad we have our cabin to be able to base out of ! We can take the kids, grandchildren out and have the same experiences as when we were kids. Wandering around in the bush, exploring, canoeing, fishing, campfires hot dogs n smores n mores.
It's those cabin experiences that we can share with family n friends that can bring all those memories and today's back together. Cabins, pretty darn special places

Nice! Yer killin me, we’ve been at the city house since Friday. Even though population here only 50k, too crowded for me. Back to the quiet cabin later today I hope.
