Hello I am located in Texas and we have been looking at some prebuilt buildings to make into a shop. The building would be big enough to be a living quarters as well it is kind of a multifunctional building. We have been looking at 16x42 or 16x50. We have a few different companies that would be able to deliver to us including Derksen, Graceland, and Tuffshed. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these companies or if one is known to be better or worse. There is a Mennonite community that does the Derksen buildings and I think the Graceland ones as well. Any insight would be appreciated

I purchased a 16x40 Graceland portable building. I tricked it out and made it a small cabin. My personal opinion is that quality control isn't at the top of the list for these shed manufactures. You're going to find imperfections. Example, on mine I found a couple of screws on the metal roof that were screwed in at an angle, the windows had the trim around them holding them in place without fasteners, the 4x8 siding had several places where the nails were driven in too deep voiding the warranty for smart side siding.
Graceland will charge you $25 dollars (per) to frame your doors and windows and you install them yourself. I did that for a double door we added and wished I had done it for the windows. I removed and installed 7 insulated windows a few years later. I have done a lot of work on this shed to cabin and overall I'm fairly satisfied.
