Just wanted to wish all our Fellow Cabineers A Happy, Safe & Prosperous 2026.
Off to a roaring start with Bright Sunshine & -19C temps for a "Brisk Start" to the year. At least, clearing the snow off the Solar Panels went quick & easy while coffee was a brewin LOL...

Here's to a great 2026 for all my fellow cabin peeps!
2025 started with me having an emergency bowel resection, then my wife had very successful spinal surgery and ending with her knee replacement at the end of October.... sure hope all the medical stuff is behind us and 2026 will be full of hiking and backpacking and good times at the cabin.
Unfortunately this is the year we will likely sell the cabin. The kids want us closer to them in Oregon so they can help us out when we need help. Will hopefully end up buying a place in the pine forests of Central Oregon. Hoping to be able to afford a log home on a bit of acreage.

Sad news but that time comes eventually for all of us.

That’s true FH. I spent the last few months of my accident rehab several years ago in a group facility being fed, washed.. couldn’t wait to get back to my cabin paradise, hope it lasts a long time.
Best wishes Nobadays.

Thanks! I'm not going anywhere soon, I'm guessing... not willing to "give" the cabin away so time will tell if it sells this year.
