I needed every bit of ATV, log arch, tractor, sawmill, and rigging this weekend. I started the clean up from some straight line winds we had back at the beginning of July. It took me two full days to cut my way back to the cabin.
The trail was pretty much a tangled mess of broken off trees, trees pushed over by the wind, trees hung up in other trees, trees buried under other trees, and somewhere under the mess, there used to be a trail. It took the entire weekend to cut a path adequate for an ATV and log arch. It will probably take two more days to get the trail to the point where you can get a truck back in there.
