From the posts it seems most here are in the states.
While some matters such as solar or water setups would generally be the same there are quite some geographical differences between being off-grid in the UK namely due to the scale of things - we are most likely dealing with much less land and less solitude than the open wilderness of the US!
So any fellow Brits?

Welcome! Im in Wisconsin, USA and let me assure you that the population and town/city density here in the upper mid-west is probably not too different from much of England. Many of our small towns are 10-15 miles apart and you can hardly get out of sight of human habitation. In spite of that many of us have found a 'cabin place' to retreat to. In fact, I have a good friend in a housing development (large lots though) that put his cabin in his tree'd and privacy fenced in back yard. He goes in pretty much daily to get his 'cabin state of mind'.

At one point I believe there was a fellow from northern Scotland on here but haven't seen any posts for a very long time.
