Hello my name is Rob I'm from McBride British Columbia Canada
I just like to say that this is a really good site full of lots of interesting ideas. I'm in the prosess of designing my cabin I'd like to have it as just a 1 bedroom open style for me and one other person if she feels inclined to come. I have 3 dogs that I'd like to take with me. For me the cabin is more of a shelter that I can cook inside of and stay dry when it is raining

Welcome Rob. We are on the other side of the country in NB. We built a one-bedroom cabin with a bath and the rest open with a small loft. We love it. We have a large dog and 4 cats - so far, so good. Have a blog in the Cabin projects section under Eastern Canada somewhere. The devil is in the details - still finishing the place and I can see it taking one more summer to do so. Good Luck - you won't regret it.
