Welcome hitanktank. Enjoy spending your winter planning, planning and doing more planning. Go over your plans carefully and have fun modifying them for what you will need. It is also fun to look around for ways to decorate your place (light fixtures, etc.). It will help make the winter pass faster. Good luck with your build!!

hitanktank I couldn't find much on the Beaverbrook cabin design. Can you post a site for what it looks like. I believe it is a one sided roof but not sure. Can you have a loft in it?

thats the best site cause it shows all the stuff with the cabin. Yeah I will have a loft. The place is 16x10 with a 12/4 roof pitch (shed style roof). I will build the loft inside starting at 7 feet high thus leaving enough room for the loft

I am also New Here, great place/forums so far everyone seems so nice and willing to help. I'm 51 yrs young avid mnt biker lived in Alabama whole life, been to Colorado several times and have dreamed of buying lots of land there and building my offgrid style homestead. I have so many skills I can't wait to get on with it..lol..designer, fabricator, mig/tig welder, currently own custom high performance car design/fab business, boat builder, master wood craftsman, avid outdoors man that luvs hunting/fishing. Wow too much to ist. I also have ADD big time, am big time Dreamer, Think Big, Live Big, also Fall down Hard many many times. But am willing to live out what time I have left on my terms, breathing in the fresh air, and 100% drama free...is this TMI ? lol
