I am not off grid as a lot of you are but I did pick up this LED lantern today at BJs and I think it would be a good addition to all that are off the grid. It was only 19.99 and runs on 3 or 6 D batteries. I got it for outside at the camp fire. I did not try it out yet so I can not say how much light it will make but I think it will be fine. I will post two pictures and everyone can check it out for themselves. Shady Acres
