I like your interpretation of a gambrel roof.

Quoting: Nobadays That's a "catio!" OK Nobadays, you win, lol, my cat can only dream of having her own catio...heck she rules enough of the rest of our lives She has to suffer with catching mice or snakes in the cabin and daily walks on a leash when we are at the cabin. @zorro, thank you for the size update...someday down the road we plan to rebuild close to your dimensions,

Yesterday I took the dog for an afternoon hike on an old overgrown trail above the cabin, and was surprised to see it from this viewpoint. Not a very flattering photo but shows the cabin tucked into the hillside and the deck I built over a shipping container, resting on steel I-beams. Also barely visible is the solar array up the hill left of the cabin.
Did I mention we're in the woods? 20220513_125131.jpg

Quoting: Irrigation Guy I like your interpretation of a gambrel roof. Just enough room upstairs for a small sleeping loft, not too much head room if you are tall !
