zoodlemaker Member	# Posted: 29 Apr 2017 12:27 Reply When a connector on my shallow well jet pump tightens it's faced 180Â° from where I need it to point. If I add more teflon tape would it tighten with a 1/2 less turn? I need the system to be air tight. The pressure gauge is not reacting at all when I run the pump to fill the pressure tank. Maybe because I'm not air tight.

Just Member	# Posted: 29 Apr 2017 14:48 Reply remove the fitting , count the number of turns you would need to stop 180 d just before were it stops now ,add some new tape, turn the fitting in to stop 1/2 turn than before . do not go past ,,tight or not ,,,it should not leak. never run a jet pump dry for more than a min. stop and reprime till it pumps.
