So the rain has begun here, and so has the tracking of mud into the cabin from my boots. Door mat I have isn't doing it, too flat. Before I plunk down $50 at Home Depot for a 'boot scraper' mat I thought I'd see if you guys have any recommendations.

Other than 'get a clue'

I have a boot scraper brush at my cabin.
I dont want scratches in my nice laminate flooring. Sometimes old is good.

Well it's old school. My dad made a boot scraper mat. Piece of 3/4 inch plywood and then with roofing nails, nailed down beer bottle caps. Picture is not a beer cap, but you get the idea.

Wow, great idea! And I have many beer caps, plywood and roofing nails. Thanks!

I have several pairs of over boots from my army days that I wear whenever its dirty outside. They are also very easy to clean as there's hardly any tread on them....
