Got the old ceiling out, and the tongue and groove in and some of the trim in, walls painted and the wife made new curtains. The kitchen cabinet is just a Home depot oak cheapie, I tossed the doors and painted the base and made new Knotty hickory doors and drawer fronts. I wanted to see how it looked and if I liked it before I make the top cabinet, I think it looks good so tomorrow I start on the top...First two pics are before.

Our ceiling will look a lot like yours when I get done, even down to the cross beams. I had thought about doubling up the 2x6 to make it look more "beamy" but yours looks great as it is!

mj, the beams are original logs from the cabin, they were under the ceiling, they are about 6 inch diameter.
