I call this piece “The Travelin Fitterâ€
If you didn’t know it, I’ve been an active working member of
Boston Pipefitters local 537 since 1983.
We’ve had our ups and downs but always been regarded as one of the best trade unions in the country
(Of course the very best in my opinion)
Men and Women from all over the U.S.A. and Canada have travelled to Boston to partake in our prosperity..
I dedicate this piece to them.
I mounted license plates with 537 on them from all over, framed them with old black boiler and copper refrigeration pipe.
Then hung it on the front porch at the cabin.
The last picture is the other end of the porch. It’s come a long way.
I hope you like it. I hope it makes you smile (even just a little).

This is nice. Just gave me an idea. I have probably 150 plates from all over and was wondering what to do with them...

If I had that many I’d have done a back slash in the kitchen or a metal ceiling
