I got the loft sheet rocked, built a work bench, installed pull-down stairs for loft, and added motion light for loft stairs.

Must feel good to be moving forward.
(we are totally snowed & cold out of ours....no work until spring)

It does. Winter is when I get most of my work on the cabin done. My work is seasonal and don’t really do much all of January and February so I can spend 4-5 days there at a time.

I can't wait to be where you are in the building progress!

I have so many 'fine touches' I have in mind to do, but I guess I need walls and a roof or something first.

Pesky details.

It’s been three years to get to this point but I can see the finish line and it’s exciting! Hang in there!

Back up this weekend with help from two friends, it makes such a difference. Production grows exponentially when you have another guy or two. We got pine up on the rest of the ceiling and two coats of mud on the walls, ripped trim boards for later, built shelves in shed, and went out for live music! Next trip hope to get it painted.

Nice work. Your live music venue reminds me of a hole in the wall in Hope, AK. Looks like a great weekend.

Yep, looks great. I hate interior painting. Hate any painting actually, but I'd rather spill it in the dirt. It is nice to stand back and admire afterwards though.

Thanks! Painting sucks for sure but for me it usually the lead up to the painting that bothers me more. Once I am doing it I just sort of zone out.

Now just need to trim it out and do the floor and I am done inside.

Been here since Wednesday heading hone in the morning, could be the last productive trip for a while as my work season is about to get going. I had some help from a buddy and we got all the trim done and I built a storage bed frame for the loft today.

Thanks. I agree and in a small space it makes it feel larger.

Bad weather at home allowed me to get back to the cabin for a couple days. I managed to get the kitchen ceiling and trim done. I was very please with how the hatch blended in.

Ha! I thought of that, there is an eye screwed into it and put a hook on the end of a dowel.
