AJC Member	# Posted: 23 Mar 2023 11:25 Reply Thoughts. I'm planning to use closed cell spray foam on the underside of my roof decking. 2x6 rafters. I already have a ridge vent installed. No power at site, therefore no air exchanger. I will be using a woodstove occasionally during the winter. I was thinking of leaving the ridge vent open to allow excess warm humid air out. There are no soffit vents - hot roof basically. We will keep windows open a crack for ventilation. Has anyone tried this?
