I'm looking to move a 20 x 25 cabin. The move will be about 10 feet, with an added 30 degree rotation (give or take!). Has anyone attempted this before? I realize it won't be easy but I also feel it won't be impossible. Property is water access so heavy equipment is not an option. Winches and pulleys are the plan. Cabin will be totally gutted with the majority of the weight being on the roof (I think??).

I'm open to any and all tips / free advice!

2 x 8 floor joist in OK shape, but sitting on piers that are totally shot.

Are you going to try to move and set it on a better pre-made foundation?

What connects the piers to the floor joists?

Usually, there would be two or more beams that sit on the pier tops, with the joists sitting on top of the beams at 90 degrees. Are yours like that or??? Pictures of a drawing could help to understand what you have.

What type of new foundation do you envision?

If theres no girders build some and use them like skids. You may want to have some logs for the 30* turn. I would also attach a board across the front and back of the skids. Dont pull off that though.
