I'm finishing off an elevated hunting blind, up on 10 foot/3 meter posts. It's near a ridge top in southern Ohio. Trying to anchor it so it doesn't blow over when we get the occasional 60 mile/100 km per hour wind blast.
I've tried screw in anchors using an (electric) impact wrench. I strike rock about a foot down or so, all 4 corners... My shallow heavy clay soil isn't going to hold these shallow anchors
Cheap solutions?

If it’s shallow soil dig to rock and anchor with a rock drill and maybe short length of cable. Or just add a 2x4 close enough to the ground that you can pile a bunch of rocks on

You alreaty have wide legs and a really open blind that wind can blow through. Looks good as it is to me also considering it's in the woods so the wind prob isnt that bad.
Horizontal legs like stated alreaty sounds like a good idea if you really feel the need to add more. You could also anchor it down to the base of trees.

Measure out 45 degrees from two opposing corners the height of the stand. Use masonry drill bit with hammer drill (keep cool while drilling with water) into the rock. Install eye bolts with concrete patch. I think it comes in a small yellow tub at home stores. Let it cure for a week.
Install eye bolts into the wood base. Put a turn buckle on each eye bolt on ground to tighten the cable. Run cable (wire rope) through the eye bolts and turn buckle, secure with three cable clamps each end.
Clear away soil from rock 3 ft x 3ft to make sure rock is large enough. Paint eye level part of cable with yellow spray paint about 4 feet long.
Drill holes in rock 45 degrees leaning away from stand. Before concrete sets, turn eye bolt so open eye slot is away from stand.
DECKMATE Marine Grade Stainless Steel 1/2-13 X 6 in. Eye Bolt includes Nut $11.00 x2. Put the nut on to give the concrete something to hold on to.
Milwaukee 3/4 in. x 4 in. x 6 in. Carbide Hammer Drill Bit $18.00 Measure the nut to make sure hole will be wide enough. 3/4 is a guess.

I see people hammer in the portable green fence posts as far as they can and then strap the legs to them.
I have a similar blind but not as wide up in my field. It blew over this spring, not a good time.....Id recommend doing something for sure..
