In the process of building a cabin.
The front porch will extend the length of the cabin (40').
I went with a cantilever truss design to do this like the attached pictures. (hopefully they're attached, first timer here)
I'm curious if I need to build a divider wall in the attic between the porch roof and cabin roof when I insulate?

Welcome to the Forum 
My personal opinion & experience says to put a blocker wall and insulate it leaving the overhang uninsulated.
You do not mention the method of insulation, venting of roof (cool or hot roof).
Note that none here will suggest using Fiberglass Insulation. Rockwool/Roxul(tm) or similar is best because:
1) It is hydrophobic and will not hold moisture/water.
2) Bugs/Rodents do NOT like rockwool at all...
3) Rockwool won't burn either (requires over 3000 degrees Celsius for it to be affected.)
Foams are tricky depending. Sheet Foam vs Spray Foams (some have Soya in it and can be attractant to some bugs) but most commercial stuff no longer does... PolyISO is another foam type which is very eviro friendly & neutral + it is High R Value in comparison.
BLOWN / Granular insulation settles and "critters" will get into it and nest... This is NOT desirable in any way. Yes teh stuff is treated etc (tons of chemicals) but stilll...
NB: As a Cabineer living in the Northern Boreal Forest, I've had decades of comabet with critters and many here will echo what I've posted above... We've Been There & have the ripped t-shirts that resulted.

Thanks for the reply! Planning on going with rockwool insulation. As far as the roof venting I have two gable vents in each end and there is usually always a good cross wind blowing up there on top of the mountain. Will use vented soffit also.
I'm also trying to figure out how to do my bird box returns. I plan on building a fake beam across the front of the porch and putting post from the porch floor to the beam. I'm thinking I need to run the beam all the way out to the overhang on the eaves and then start my return or Bird Box from there? Hard to make it make sense in writing. I'll try to post some more pics later.

Soffit and gable tends to short circuit and vent near the ends and that is all. I was taught to pick one, gable to gable or soffit and ridge. In some areas gable vents can bring in snow in the winter.
If I'm understanding, I like to put the "return" in line with the wall when possible. In the pic I've run the gable end at the rake angle all the way to the subfascia, there may be a narrow level strip covering it. I've levelled the eaves soffit and did put soffit vent there. The leveling stops at the wall rather than happening out at the barge rafter, which looks clunky to my eye. In this pic, the "return" is an extension of siding.

I had a half used bag of Rockwool in my shed. In 1yr the rodents had there way with it. I also have some stuffed in my garage to cover holes. The birds make nests in it every year. As for dosnt burn...if im worried about my insulation burning the whole structure is done for.
