Good morning again!
I just updated the cabin insulation post below; I need to do a better job of updating people who have given me good advice. I'm about to finish insulation of the cabin as stated in the thread below. In short, spray foam walls and ceiling, foam board in floor.
As for current heating/cooling, I have a portable window A/C-heat pump that's in place, and heats the place up well. It's a 12x16 cabin, so it's easy to do.
I have an 11,000 BTU propane direct vent heater that will be installed. I have it, but have had no chance to put it in yet. A/C obviously needs electric, but the propane does not.
I also have a dehumidifier running, but happily, it's been pretty dry at this time. Some small air leaks to sort.
The question is: should I invest in an ERV/HRV?
This will not be a regular residence. I hope to be there somewhat often, but it won't be a regular residence in the winter, but I expect to be there more in summer time.
There are four 36x48 sliding windows and a large sliding patio door with screen that all could be opened at any time.
Thoughts, folks? I appreciate your input ahead of time.
